Summary:

It's hot, there's danger, they gotta get home.
Mirai and Yuuki wakes up from the army helicopters, realizing all what had happened, was not a dream. The two of the realizes that Mari, the woman who had helped them is not there, only then she reappears with breakfast. Mirai confesses that she had thought Mari haven't left them and headed home, the woman teases her about being lonely. Mari decides to make a promise that whereone one of them goes, the others follows. This way, no one is left behind.
Later in the day, the heat increases, not making their situation any better. The three of them take a quick look at the news update, only to learn that all transporation aren't working, and the only way to get back home is by walking. They are also warned that there will be after shocks with a magnitude of 5.0. Then Japan's Coastguard appears announcing that they will be taking victims from Odaiba to Hinode Pier on a sea bus.
The three of them head down to the boat stop, Mirai refuses to take Mari's hand when she offered, only to get seperated shortly, when an aftershock occured. Luckily she was found by Mari, and this time, held her hand. Within a short period of time, another aftershock occurs, and a bridge crashes down just in front of them, in a crowd of people who are most definitely...dead.
They hurry the bridge, Mari warns them to not let go of her hands. While walking down the stairs to the harbour, a person trips, then suddenly a whole crowd of people starts being shoved and push aside like dominos, Yuuki, unable to hang on to Mari's hands gets swept away like a current. Once more; luck was on their side, Yuuki was reunited with his sister and Mari.
They arrive to the sea-bus only to see it full and hope to catch the next one, but then an officer notices Yuuki and Marai as children and tells them to get on the boat, then he notices Mari and calls her, 'Mom' which allowed the three of them to pretend they were a family and get on.
Afterwards, Mirai comments about Mirai's actions and how she's such a shrewd. Mirai admits that's true, and that she has become stronger ever since her husband has passed away.
Yuuki, who notices a bridge that continues blaze in flames asks why it was still on fire, Mari explains that a tanker truck was on it. The three of them notices the boat that was hosing out the fire was backing away, retreating from the bridge.
Suddenly, the bridge explodes, and crumbles into the river, creating a huge wave, taking out the second sea bus behind them ruthlessly, the wave has not stopped however and is still heading in their direction. Everyone on the boat clings on for their dear lives as they take on the wave, luckily ended up riding it, rather than being swallowed by it.
Mirai realizes how lucky they were to be on the first boat and wonders what could have been their fate if they ended up being on the second one. She quickly notices that Mari has were shaking as she hugs the two of them, she apologizes about putting them in danger, but instead Mari thanks her.

Impression:

Okay I'll be dead honest, as soon as Mirai got seperated and walked under that overpass, i KNEW that there'd be an aftershock. And hell, from that moment on and throughout the rest of the episode I thinking like, "Crap, this is scaring the hell out of me.". And it is scary! I still have the goosebumps and shivers from this episode! Talk about drama and gosh, how much more realistic could this get? (Or maybe it's just me, since I'm a very realistic person)
I really like how BONES made Mari's character. They are proving excellent points about why it's best to be opstimistic about the worse-case scenario. Truely, Mari's character would probably be an inspiration to some people, and I wouldn't be surprised.
Mirai is definitely ungoing a character development. She's so uptight about how everyone is treating her like a kid, when really she just forgotten how to act like one. And the ones to blame...I would say her parents. I am eager to see the results of her character development, and as I said back in my First Impression, I would exspect the outcome of all this to make her cherish her family, and live out her life.
Boy, I can't wait to see the next episode!!!
